Terms of use

Using Winelib
Winelib is a tool for keeping a personal record of wines and getting suggestions. By using it you agree to these terms. You must be of legal drinking age in your country.
Your account and content
You are responsible for your account. You own the notes, ratings and photos you add. You give us permission to store and process them to provide the service, and, once Winelib Pro AI features launch, to send them to our AI provider as described in the privacy policy.
Acceptable use
- Do not misuse the service, attempt to break it, or access other people's data.
- Do not upload illegal content or photos of people.
- Do not use Winelib to sell or promote the sale of alcohol.
AI-generated content
Label readings, taste summaries and recommendations are generated by AI and can be wrong. They are not professional advice. Check important details, such as allergens, strength or cellaring dates, against the bottle itself.
Drink responsibly
Winelib does not encourage excessive drinking. Please drink in moderation and never drink and drive.
Winelib Pro
Winelib will offer an optional paid subscription, Winelib Pro, with higher limits and extra AI features. When it launches we will show the price, billing period and renewal terms before you pay. You will be able to cancel at any time, and consumers in the EU keep their statutory right of withdrawal. The free plan will remain available.
Availability and liability
Winelib is provided as is. We try to keep it running but cannot guarantee it will always be available. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
Open source
The Winelib source code is released under the MIT licence on GitHub. These terms cover the hosted service at winelib.nl.
